LES FALLES, are the FOC festivals of the towns of the Vall de Boí. They are a very old tradition that celebrates the arrival of good weather and the harvesting of grass by cattle.
This fire, lit at the top of the mountain, is the one that is brought down to the village with the faults, and is walked through the same, in order to purify the evil spirits from each and every place in the village.
Before running the falls, the ‘lighthouses’ will have had to be prepared, with trees standing in a high area far from the town that will be lit on the day of the descent, forming a large bonfire and from where all the fallaris will descend, burning its fault to then begin its descent towards the town.
